Chincoteague Fishing report through mid June.

The Offshore fishing continues to be good weather permitting.  The yellowfin tuna and gaffer dolphin are being caught on the 100 line between the Washington and the Norfolk in the warm water.  Look for temperature breaks the temp is ranging from 69 to 73.  Come on in and pick up some skirted ballyhoo and spreader bars.  There are offshore charters available contact Capt. Inshore along the 20 fathom line there are big bluefish false albacore and mako sharks.  Take out some wire leader and mackerel along with your trolling gear for best bets of hooking up.  Bluefish are hitting cedar plugs and meat.  Capt. Steve’s stocks BIONIC ballyhoo and we have Tournament Chum.

The inshore bite just keeps getting better and better…. with this 7lb 2 oz  27 in flounder caught Monday June 13th.   Shark fishing on the beach has picked up along with the kingfish.  Sharks are around the limit we have had them up to 5 foot.  If you would like to go we hava a Captain or that.  We have a Captain for everything just stop on by the shop and we can hook you up with a fishing excursion, sightseeing cruise, even a classic Taste of Chincoteague which features crabbing, clamming, and fishing.

Caleb and Nate caught 5 keepers flounder this morning using Capt. STEVE’S GULP and minnows Danny out fished his dad with the biggest flounder out of the crew. HE said all you have to do is stick the rod in the rod holder.hxQrv

Capt. John and crew Rusty and Darryl aboard the Huntress has an awesome day they limited out on Yellowfin tuna had a bunch of releases and some nice gaffer dolphin. The tuna bite has been hot they said it reminds them of the good old days!
