Free Fishing Days — Try it, You’ll Be Hooked!
June 6, 7, and 8, 2014 have been designated as Free Fishing Days in Virginia. No fishing license of any kind will be required for rod and reel fishing in freshwater or saltwater, except in designated stocked trout waters, on these days. Plan some time to go fishing and boating; take the family fishing and boating or learn to fish and boat!
Memorial Park has been an awesome spot for catching Flounder, Croaker and Shark this week. Using live Minnows, frozen Squid as well as the Bloodworm and EZ Squid Fish Bites on the East Coast Flounder rigs, East Coast Surf & Bay Rigs and the Jumbo Surf Ball rigs.
Grant Hummer from Lititz PA is taking some time off of ELA group inc. and catching some big flounder this one was 21.5” with the help of netman brother Wayne they have been having a good week down here putting some nice fish in the box.
Off the surf our summer species are starting to show up. Kingfish (sea mullet) can be caught on the small East Coast Surf and Bay rigs, white and chartreuse have been doing best with squid and bloodworms.
